About Coombelands

Although there can be only one name on a trainer’s licence, it is very much a partnership”

Amanda Perrett started training  racehorses at Coombelands Racing Stables in Sussex in 1996. She took over the reins from her father, esteemed race horse trainer Guy Harwood, who retired after training over 1600 winners, 30 Group 1 winners including the great Dancing Brave. Assisted by her husband, Mark Perrett, Amanda currently trains 60 race horses. Together they have trained over 600 winners including 19 Group winners in Europe and  had  runners in Hong Kong, Dubai, America and Australia.

Working with Amanda and Mark at Coombelands Racing Stables are a team of experienced staff who are dedicated to providing the highest standards of race horse training. Many members of the team have been trained by one of the most successful race horse trainers of the 20th Century, Guy Harwood.
