
Recitation, a 1979 colt by Elocutionist out of Irish Party was owned by Mr AP Ward & Mr AE Bodie. He won the French 2000 Guineas, Gp 1 at Longchamp having previously won the Salisbury 2000 Guineas Trial. As a two year old, he won the Grand Criterium Gp 1 at Longchamp and the Coventry Stakes Gp 2, at Royal Ascot.
This two horse partnership will race a colt by Mount Nelson out of a Group 1 winner, Red Roses Story and a Dark Angel colt out of the Danehill mare, Toy Show for the 2012 and 2013 flat racing seasons. There are 25 shares available and the horses will be sold at the end of the second year with any sales proceeds and prize money, less all expenses paid out to each partner.

Mount Nelson – Red Roses Story (Pink) 30th April 2010
Mount Nelson won 3 races value £459,136 at 2 to 4, from 7 furlongs to 1 mile 2 furlongs. He was a brilliant 2 year old winning the Group 1, Criterium International at Saint- Cloud in record time. He also won the Coral Eclipse Stakes, Sandown Park, Gr.1 and was placed third in Arlington Million Stakes, Arlington, Gr.1 He retired to Stud in 2009 and his first crop are now yearlings. He is bred on the same successful Danzig/Sharpen Up sire cross as both Danehill Dancer and Invincible Spirit. The dam, Red Roses Story won four races including the Prix Royal Oak, Longchamp, Gr 1 and also placed four times. She has produced two winners from three runners to date, including In Full Cry, rated 85 who won over 6f. Dark Angel won 4 races, value £341,306 at 2 from 5 furlongs to 6 furlongs including the Shadwell Stud Middle Park Stakes, Newmarket, Gr.1, Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes, Newbury, Gr.2. He retired to Stud in 2008, and has sired the winners of 25 races and £282,494; including Listed winner Lily’s Angel and Group placed Tough As Nails and B Fifty Two in his first season. The dam Toy Show, rated 89 won three races. She is the dam of two winners from three runners to date, Capo Malfatano was rated 103 and Wing Play was rated 88.
