Guy Mitchell will make sporting history onboard Double Legend today at Newbury Racecourse – Thursday 25th July

Guy Mitchell will become the first person with one eye to ride in a race in Britain today onboard Double Legend at Newbury Racecourse in division two of the RacingTV Amateur Riders’ Handicap at 5.30pm. Guy has had a lifelong ambition to race ride, originally applying for his license aged sixteen. Nearly 30 years on, Guy has taken part in a series of assessments at the British Racing School and been examined by a Harley Street specialist before being awarded his amateur license this year. Guy has been riding out every morning at Coombelands and we are delighted that he will be partnering with Double Legend who is owned by our Head Lad, Dean Angell.
