We are thrilled that Frontispiece won again at Newbury this afternoon for the Frontispiece Partnership! He won at Newbury back in June by a ‘shoulder’ from Mackaar and today was even closer when eventually finishing in a dead heat with Emenem.
We are so pleased that Dutch Story got his head in front at Yarmouth to win the ‘MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap’ on his fourth outing. Ridden by Martin Dwyer, Dutch Story led before being ridden two furlongs out and ran on well when challenged to win comfortably by 1 3/4 lengths with his ears pricked in front.

We are delighted that Zuba won at Kempton yesterday afternoon for owners John Connolly and Odile Griffith. Ridden by Jim Crowley, Zuba made effort to challenge entering the final two furlongs, he then led from one furlong out and kept on well to win the Matchbook Betting Podcast Handicap by a neck from Laafy. Well done to Chris Waterlow who looks after Zuba at home.
We would like to congratulate Mary Garland on her Institute of Biomedical Science Fifty Year Award. Mary is a Laboratory Technician at Sussex Equine Hospital and has been a regular visitor to Coombelands for many years. Mary has worked at Sussex Equine Hospital for 12 years, before this she worked in various NHS hospital pathology laboratories for 40 years.
Guy Mitchell will become the first person with one eye to ride in a race in Britain today onboard Double Legend at Newbury Racecourse in division two of the RacingTV Amateur Riders’ Handicap at 5.30pm.
Tinto wins at Bath! Ridden by Jason Watson, Tinto won the Sky Sports Racing Virgin 535 Handicap in a photo finish. He made headway over two furlongs out, challenged just inside the final furlong and ran on to lead in the final strides to win by a shoulder. Congratulations to the Derek James, Steven Jenkins and Michael Quigley and well done to Thierry Decherf who looks after Tinto at home.
We are delighted that Sash won the Fegime ‘Preferred Suppliers’ Handicap this evening at Windsor for owner breeder Prince Khalid Abdullah. Ridden by Pat Dobbs he tracked the leaders and was pushed to lead over one furlong out and ran on well to win comfortably by two lengths. Well done to Tim Taylor who looks after Sash at home.
