Thresholdofadream wins the last race of the evening at Kempton on Wednesday for owners Derek James and Barry and Fiona Reilly at Woodcote Stud. She was held up towards the rear and was ridden over one furlong out to take the lead entering the final furlong, she kept on to win well under Jason Watson. We are delighted that Frontispiece won at Newbury for the Frontispiece Partnership on Tuesday. Ridden by Kieran Shoemark he made the running and led until one furlong out when he was joined by Mackaar but he rallied and stayed on to win by a shoulder. Congratulations to everyone involved and well done to Nigel Dunger who looks at Frontispiece at home.
Open Wide won at Windsor on Monday evening in the Winsdor Sprint Series Qualifer. He won the ‘Marathonbet Sportsbook Handicap’ by half a length from Sunsprite. He is a horse who loves Windsor, in his eight runs at the course he has won twice and never been out of the first three.
Zhui Feng will be running in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot on Wednesday. He won the race in 2017 for owners John Connolly and Odile Griffith and will be ridden by Pat Dobbs for this year’s renewal.
We are looking forward to Epsom tomorrow, Lavender’s Blue will be running in the Oaks for owner and breeder Mr Andersson. Her dam, Beatrice Aurore also owned by Mr Andersson finished sixth in the race in 2011.
Lavender’s Blue is an exciting filly who won on debut at Newmarket in April and was beaten a neck by Queen Power at Newbury in a hot Listed race earlier this month.
Annie Angel will go through the ring at Doncaster on Thursday, she is Lot 846 at the Goffs UK Spring HIT/P2P sale. She won a Mares’ Handicap Chase convincingly at Fontwell by six lengths earlier this month (8th May). She jumps well and is ready to run through the summer months and would make an ideal point-to-point horse.
